Prix Reconnaissance jeunesse

Call for nominations

Eleven recipients will be selected for the first prix Reconnaissance jeunesse ceremony: five young people (between 15 up to and including 29 years of age), five youth workers  (18 years of age or over) and an individual who has achieved great distinction working for young people in the course of his or her career. The nominations will be evaluated in light of the strategic priorities in the fields of health, education, citizenship, employment and entrepreneurship.

Youth category

Eligibility

  • be a Canadian citizen or possess permanent resident status;
  • have resided in Québec for at least one year;
  • be between 15 and up to and including 29 years of age.

Nomination period

The 2018 call for nominations held from December 19, 2017 to February 16, 2018.

Selection criteria

  • the attainment, in whole or in part, of the objectives of at least one of the five strategic priorities of The 2030 Québec Youth Policy;
  • achievements;
  • impact;
  • leadership;
  • originality;
  • overall assessment.

Nomination form

Anyone wishing to make a nomination must complete the appropriate form, which is online only during the nomination period.

The nomination file must include:

  • the registration form;
  • the curriculum vitae of the nominee.

* The nominator can neither be a member of the nominee’s family nor the nominee.

Youth Worker category

Eligibility

  • be a Canadian citizen or possess permanent resident status;
  • have resided in Québec for at least one year;
  • be 18 years of age or over;
  • work in the community or institutional sector;
  • work with youth (between 15 and up to and including 29 years of age).

Nomination period

The 2018 call for nominations held from December 19, 2017 to February 16, 2018.

Selection criteria

  • the attainment, in whole or in part, of the objectives of at least one of the five strategic priorities of The 2030 Québec Youth Policy;
  • achievements;
  • impact;
  • leadership;
  • originality;
  • overall assessment.

Emmett Johns category

Eligibility

  • be a Canadian citizen or possess permanent resident status;
  • have resided in Québec for at least one year;
  • promote Québec young people;
  • work among young people (15-29 year-olds).

Nomination period

The 2018 call for nominations held from December 19, 2017 to February 16, 2018.

Selection criteria

  • the attainment, in whole or in part, of the objectives of at least one of the five strategic priorities of The 2030 Québec Youth Policy;
  • continuity in the nominee’s career;
  • influence;
  • leadership;
  • originality;
  • overall assessment.
